Let's get you up and running

  1. Install Tab Seeker (if you haven't already)
  2. Pin Tab Seeker extension to the toolbar
    • Click on Extensions icon () in the browser header
    • Pin extension
  3. (Optional) Change keyboard shortcut to open the extension
    • Click on Extensions icon () in the browser header
    • Manage extensions
    • Keyboard shortcuts
    • Tab Seeker > Activate the extension > Edit
    • For example, set +Shift+F as a shortcut
  4. Use shortcut +Shift+S (by default) to open the extension

    The star () next to a page title shows currently active tab from which the extension launched.

    If you're still reading this, there is a pretty good chance that this page is your active tab.

  5. Try typing "tab seeker" in the extension's search bar
    This page should appear in the filtered Tab Results List
  6. To navigate to any tab in the tab results list, use
    • Up (↑) and Down (↓) Arrow keys or use
    • Shift+Tab and Tab instead
  7. Press Enter to focus and bring up the selected tab and window
  8. (Optional) Customize how Tab Seeker extension works
    • Right-click on Tab Seeker extension icon
    • Select ""
    • Customize

That's it! Keep using the shorcuts to search tabs with Tab Seeker and it will become a muscle memory in no time. That is when you unlock the full potential of this extension.
